Fragmented Environments is a collection of synthetic spaces, that, while fabricated, feel warm and familiar. gonima is a master of juxtaposition. Skittering aggressive rhythms, rapid changes in time signature and cold digital synthesizers work together to subvert their stereotypical identities. What would usually be perceived as a harsh, challenging palette presents itself in a gentle and inviting format. Fragmented Environments is not social music, but rather encourages tender introspection. A work that captures all the chaotic moving parts of life, yet still brilliantly maintains its normalcy.
